BUTTERFLY
(Sing to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”.) (Hook thumbs together and wiggle fingers to look like a butterfly.)
Flutter, flutter butterfly
Floating in the springtime sky
Floating by for all to see
Floating by so merrily
Flutter, flutter, butterfly
Floating in the springtime sky!
TICK TOCK CLOCK
Tick tock, tick tock, I’m a little cuckoo clock. Tick tock, tick tock. Now it’s striking one ‘o clock. Tick tock, tick tock. (then as you’re saying) “Cuckoo!!” (you lift the child into the air.)
Someone wound up the clock we’re going to go a little faster. (Shifting weight a little faster) Tick tock, tick tock, I’m a little cuckoo clock. Tick tock, tick tock. Now it’s striking two ‘o clock. Tick tock, tick tock. (lift child into the air each time you say) “Cuckoo!! Cuckoo!!”
Oh no!! Someone wound up the clock very tight…we’re going to go very fast….. (Now moving to each side much faster) Tick tock, tick, tock, I’m a little cuckoo clock. Tick tock, tick tock, now it’s striking three ‘o clock. Tick tock, tick tock. “Cuckoo!! Cuckoo!! Cuckoo!!” (Lifting child up each time you say Cuckoo)
